Students must arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to a test. If a student arrives after the test has begun, they will not be able to be a part of the test, a private test will need to be scheduled.

If you are unable to make a scheduled test, a private test may be arranged with an instructor for any day AFTER the scheduled test date.

REGULAR PROGRAM:
In the regular program, it is required that you obtain all of your stripes at a minimum of one week prior to the test date. If you acquire your final stripe the week of a test, the instructors will notify you of the next test date in which you qualify to test. Please remember that once you have all of your stripes you should continue to come to class to receive final instruction for your belt exam. You must attend at least one class the week of the belt test. You must also pass a pre-test before you may test. TURTLE TOT/KARATE KID PROGRAMS:
If your child is in the Turtle Tot or Karate Kid program, it is a requirement that they obtain all of their stripes a minimum of one week prior to the testing date. Please see your child’s instructor to determine the date of your child’s belt promotion test. Your child’s completed Intent to Promote papers are to be handed in to the instructor at the time of the test.

INTENT TO PROMOTE PAPERS:
The Intent to Promote Paper is our way of monitoring a student’s martial art progress outside of the karate school. This communication allows us to stay in touch with any areas that need to be addressed or improved upon on an individual basis. This paper is to be handed in at EVERY Belt Test. If the paper is not turned in, all stripes will be held until the instructor receives a completed form.
Intent to Promote Papers are located in the bins on the wlal in the hallway leading to the classroom.
