Grandmaster Huang, Chien-Liang’s 2015 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament will be held on April 11th at US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd in Timonium, Maryland.
Local Tien Shan Pai schools affiliated with Grandmaster will compete in the following events:
External Kung Fu Forms Competitions
Youths and adults can participate in single competitor empty hand and weapons forms, two competitor empty hand and weapons forms in beginner, intermediate, and advanced events.
External Light Contact Sparring
Contestants from 8 years old through adult can engage in light contact competition. All competitors must wear appropriate head gear, hand gear, foot gear, a mouth guard, and all males must wear groin protection.
Internal Tai Chi Forms
Youths and adults can square off in single competitor empty hand and weapon events.
Internal Sparring
Tai Chi sparring, Pushing Hands, will be held for internal style competitors.
Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament Registration
On-line registration has begun. Interested parties should use the 2015 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament link. This on-line link will be available for competitors to register until April 8th. Registration for youth & adult is $35 for the first event and $5 each for each additional event.
After April 8th, competitors may use Late Registration, on the day of the tournament. At the door late registration begins at 11:00am on April 11th. The Late Registration fees for youth & adult is $45 for the first event and $5 each for each additional event.
Competition begins at 12:00pm.
Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament Venue
The US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd school will be used for this tournament. No Saturday classes will be held on April 11th. Competitors should bring any equipment needed for competition, included personal sparring equipment and weapons.
US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd has some equipment for sale. Snacks, water, and other drinks will be sold. As the competition area is also the school’s classroom area, please do not bring non water or snacks into the competition area.

Please park in the adjacent parking lot which is connected to our parking lot by steps.
From I83: take exit 16A East Timonium Road. Turn right on Aylesbury Road and turn right into the access road (just after Rebounders) that leads to the Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Lohman’s, Old Navy, etc.). Turn right into the back parking lot. See the purple highlight on the map.
Traveling South on York Road: turn right on to Aylesbury Road. Turn left into the access road (just after Rebounders) that leads to the Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Lohman’s, Old Navy, etc.). Turn right into the back parking lot. See the blue highlight on the map.
Traveling North on York Road: turn left (westward) on to Aylesbury Road. Turn left into the access road (just after Rebounders) that leads to the Lutherville Station Shopping Center (Lohman’s, Old Navy, etc.). Turn right into the back parking lot. See the red highlight on the map.
