We will host a small tournament just for the students of U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. It will serve as a good way to try out competing in a tournament as well as raise funds to help defray the costs for our students competing in the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament held annually in July.
The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Unlike the Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament, held in April, we will still have the regular Saturday classes on March 6th. We ask that students be picked up promptly from the last class as we will have some setting up to do before starting the tournament. As usual, volunteers are always welcome. Timers and score keepers are always needed.
The judges and referees will be our in-house instructors who have previously competed. Besides gaining confidence and practice in competing, the officials will be available to make constructive suggestions for improving after the events, if the student wishes to ask for comments.
Competitor fees of $15.00 and spectator fees of $1.00 will help raise funds for our July tournament competition team.
