BGE Roadwork on York Road Limiting Access to USMALtd School Parking Lot

The parking lot entrance closest to the Celebree daycare center is undergoing some pavement work and there will be no ability to turn northward (left) onto York Road. It is hoped that it will be accessible by Friday, March 10th. We were given no warning about this construction. US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. is sorry for this further inconvenience.
From the end of February 2023 until sometime in April 2023, BGE will be working, mostly underground, on the stretch of York Road that is in front of the entire parking lot area of St. John Properties Yorkridge Center North. This construction impacts access to and from York Road.
Most of the center turn lane of York Road in this area has a cement wall barricading the ability to make a left (northward) turn to enter York Road from the property’s parking areas. A sharp left turn onto the center turn lane is only available from the northernmost exit between the Celebree Child Care Center and the Volvo dealership.
It is not possible to turn left from the middle exit by Valley Dental or the southern most exit by the FedEx shipping facility. There are traffic signs prohibiting left turns from these exits.
To avoid making a left turn out of the parking lot, one can exit (turn right) onto the southbound lanes of York Road and then turn either left or right onto Warren Road using a series of turns travel back onto York Road headed north.
Please be careful heading north on York Road , either by using Warren Road and working one’s way back to a more northern part of York Road, or by using the northern most exit to turn north (left) onto York Road. Hopefully, all drivers will exercise patience, civility, safety, and caution while dealing with this construction.

US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd delivered all of the gifts and money on December 7th. The gifts will be wrapped and distributed by the St. Vincent’s Villa volunteers.
