Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament — April 16, 2011

On April 16, 2011, U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. was honored to hold Grandmaster Huang’s 2011 Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament.  This is a competition for students from Grandmaster’s school, his disciples’ schools, and invited schools.

Though the weather was less than cooperative, the heavy rain and blustery winds did not deter the nearly 100 competitors and their supporters.  Competitors ranged from the youngest Kung Fu Kids (4 – 8 years old) through the adult advanced students of Northern Kung Fu and Tai Chi.

This tournament is a yearly event and is a good way to step into tournament competition.  It is an excellent way to prepare for the much larger international competition held yearly, during the last full weekend in July, in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

The U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament will be held on July 29 – 31, 2011, at the Hunt Valley Marriott.  For more information, click on The World Kuo Shu Federation.
