Anyone ages 12 and up can learn practical, easy‑to‑use self‑defense techniques in this beginner‑friendly 7‑week seminar.

No prior martial arts experience is required. Students learn simple, effective skills they can practice at home, with time each week to ask questions and address real‑life situations.

What You Will Learn

This structured self‑defense program teaches:

Practical strikes, blocks, escapes, and defensive techniques
How to respond under pressure
Awareness and avoidance strategies
Confidence, focus, and personal safety habits

Class Schedule

Mondays 5:30 – 6:30
Thursdays 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Course Length: 7 weeks (7 total hours of instruction)

Pricing

$80 for any family member of USMA student
$100 for all other students

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 8th
Course Begins: Monday, May 11th

*Course has 7, 1 hour classes. Each week, the same material will be taught in the 2 classes that week, so that students can attend whatever day is convenient.

Upcoming 2026 Tournaments, Join USMALtd!

Join us at Grandmaster Huang’s Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament at the Notre Dame Preparatory School Gymnasium, April 19, 2026. Registration Opens February 14, 2026. Early Registration Ends March 15, 2026. Competitors must pre-register on-line and registration ends April 1st. Online registration ONLY. No paper or in-person registration.

Competitors will vie in forms using empty hand, weapons, and two-man sets competitions as well as light contact sparring for Kung Fu competitors. Tai Chi contestants can compete in forms with and without weapons as well as push hand sparring.

Doors Open at 9am and the Tournament begins at 10am.

The Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament commemorates the US arrival and teaching of the head of our style, Grandmaster Huang, Chien-Liang. This tournament helps students to prepare TSP students for competitions and to foster spirit and camaraderie among TSP students.

For 33 years, US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd has provided holiday gifts to the children of St Vincent's Villa

Two children’s facilities St Vincent De Paul and Villa Maria merged to form St Vincent’s Villa. US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd had been working with Villa Maria since our founding and continued to support them after the two organizations merged. The holiday gifts were delivered Friday, December 12, 2025. The wrapping crew was already there preparing the holiday gifts.

Thank you everyone for their generous donations of toys, sports equipment, art supplies, and money.
