U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. staff and advanced students were some of the performers that participated in Grandmaster Huang’s Tien Shan Pai Charity Demonstration to celebrate his 40 years of teaching in the United States. The event was held at the Kossiakoff Center Auditorium of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland on April 21, 2012 at 2:00pm.
Students and staff from the various local Tien Shan Pai schools and guest schools performed various forms and techniques. Grandmaster Huang and his son, Master Michael Huang performed a two man Tai Chi set.
The charity demonstration benefited the Sparks of Change Foundation, an organization started in the memory of Daniel Siegel, a student and disciple of Grandmaster Huang, who died of a brain tumor at the age of 22.
