U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. offers other events besides the regularly scheduled Kung Fu and Tai Chi classes and birthday parties. These are announced in classes, posted at our school and posted on the website.
Martial Arts Black Sash Tests
Several times a year, U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. holds a Black Sash Test to award a first degree black sash to qualifying students. Black Sash Test dates will be posted. First degree forms, advanced degree forms, techniques and skits are performed. We also collect canned and dry goods foods as the admission fee for our Black Sash tests.
Martial Arts Charitable Efforts
U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. is happy to participate in various local charitable efforts. We contribute food to the Maryland Food Bank and other local food banks. We have held Red Cross Blood Drives. For the past 20 years, we have contributed holiday toys, clothing, and other gifts for the Villa Maria School (a residential children’s school and home in Timonium, Maryland). We have also raised money to help pay health bills for a local high school girl who was a victim of a terrorist bomb attack in Africa.
Martial Arts Demonstrations
U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd offers demonstrations of Tien Shan Pai and Tai Chi techniques in various local venues. We have performed for schools, charity events, community events and library events.

Martial Arts Seminars

Grandmaster Huang will offer seminars in unusual forms, special weapons, and additional techniques. These seminars are usually offered semi-annually at our school. Details will be announced when available. Please note that some of these seminars require specific levels of training and experience. These requirements will also be listed. In the past, some of these seminars have included special weapons forms, such as the Er Mei Ci form (double needles), the Fan Form, and Chin Na techniques.
Martial Arts Tournaments
Our students are welcome to participate in various tournaments. We hold an in-house tournament on a scheduled date so that our students can get some practice and experience before participating in the Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament (a multi-school event usually held in April at our school) and the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament (a Chinese martial arts tournament with competitors from all over the world held in Hunt Valley, Maryland the last full weekend in July).
