U. S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. is very proud of our large staff of experienced instructors. We have a number of instructors with first, second, and third degree rankings and several instructors working toward their 4th degree black sash ranking. (Chinese Kung Fu styles use sashes, not belts.) All of our instructors are continuing their study of Tien Shan Pai.
Mr. Paul is our Head Instructor and School Owner. He has a third degree black sash and is working on earning his fourth degree in Tien Shan Pai. Shi Fu Paul has been studying since 1995 and teaching since 1999. A student of Grandmaster Huang since 1998 in Tien Shan Pai, Mr. Paul has been begun studying the long form Yang Style and Chen Pan Ling styles of Tai Chi with Grandmaster as well. Mr. Paul is a disciple of Grandmaster Huang.
Mrs. Maricar is an instructor, School Director, and School Owner. She is a student of Grandmaster Huang and Master Michael Huang studying Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu and the long form of Yang Style and Chen Pan Ling style of Tai Chi since 2008.
Mr. Jeff Zukor is a Senior Instructor. He has been studying Tien Shan Pai and the long form Yang Style Tai Chi since 1983 and teaching since 1985. Mr. Jeff has a third degree black sash. He is a student and disciple of Grandmaster Huang.
Mr. J.D. Carr began studying Tien Shan Pai since 1995 and has earned his second degree black sash under Grandmaster Huang. Mr. JD earned his third degree black sash in 2015. He has been one of our teachers for many years, before going off to college and after completing his undergraduate studies.
Ms. Mary Kallab is an instructor and a U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. student training in Tien Shan Pai since 2006. She earned her first degree black sash in November 2010. She earned her second degree black sash in 2016. Mary attends Loyola College University and being local can continue her Kung Fu training and can also teach.
Mr. Josh Elkins-Fowler earned his first degree black sash in 2013 and earned his second degree black sash in 2016. He is attending college locally and can continue his Tien Shan Pai training and teach.
Ms. Katie Beahn has earned her first degree black sash and has studied Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu since 2008. Ms. Katie has taken a college semester about to attend a college abroad. Normally, Ms. Katie attends a local college and can continue to train and teach.
Ms. Gwen Comfort has studied both Yang style Tai Chi and Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu since 2009 at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. and has earned her black sash in Tien Shan Pai.
Ms. Julianna Falconer has been training at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd since 2008, and has nearly completed her requirements for a first degree black sash.
Mr. Joseph Gaffney earned his black sash at U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. in 2016 and is continuing his Tien Shan Pai training.
Ms. Pearl Sweeney received her first degree black sash in 2016 and is currently of the Baltimore County Public Schools system. She is continuing her black sash training.
Ms. Katie Jakubowski is a professional graphics designer and has designed numerous artworks for U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. She was a U.S. Martial Arts instructor for over 8 years and has been a student since 1995. She holds a first degree black sash. Ms. Katie has fought in the Full Contact Fighting Division at the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament.
During extended school vacations, several college age former instructors return to U.S. Martial Arts Academy, Ltd. and teach during their breaks.
