Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament will be held on April 11, 2015

Grandmaster Huang, Chien-Liang’s Tien Shan Pai Legacy Tournament will be held on April 11, 2015 at US Martial Arts Academy,  Ltd.   Students from Grandmaster Huang’s local Tien Shan Pai schools are invited.   There will be forms events — Single empty hand, 2-Man empty hand, Weapons and 2-Man weapons, and Tai Chi empty hand and weapons forms,  as well as sparring events in Push Hands and Light Contact Sparring.

Registration will begin at 11:00am and the competition will begin at 12:00pm.

Pre-Registration cost for the 1st event is $35.   Each additional event is $5.  Registration begins March 1, 2015 at the www.tienshanpai.org website.  Pre-registration ends April 8, 2015.

At The Door Registration cost is $45 and $5 for each additional event- CASH ONLY.

PLEASE NOTE:  NO SATURDAY CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT US MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY, LTD ON APRIL 11TH DUE TO SETUP AND PREPARATION FOR THIS TOURNAMENT.  WE ARE  SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.

USMALtd’s In-house Tournament Feb. 28, 2015

US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd will be holding an in-house tournament for our students on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00pm.  This is an excellent opportunity for first time (or just a bit shy) students to experience a martial arts competition.  There will be empty hand and weapons forms competitions for individual and paired competitors.  Light contact sparring events will also be included.   The judges will be our own instructors.

Students who participate in competition tend to practice more and therefore improve in their martial arts skills.  This is a medal competition.  So, not only will the competitors enhance  their training, they could earn a medal!

The competitor fee is $20 and the spectator fee is $1.00.  Funds raised will go towards off setting the costs for competitors at the US International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament in July at Hunt Valley, Md.

US International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament posterThere will be no classes July 24, 25, and 26th because our students and staff will be attending, volunteering, and competing at the 2014 U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament in Hunt Valley, Md. As per the summer schedule there are no Monday classes, so there will be no classes on Monday July 28th. Please join us at the tournament.

Wednesday, July 23, is the last day to preregister to compete at the tournament.  After Wednesday, the registration costs increase and competitors must register at the tournament.  Registration online is available at the 2014 US International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament page.
