This is the 24th year US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd is holding a holiday gift drive for the children of St. Vincent’s Villa. St. Vincent’s Villa is a school and residential treatment and diagnostic facility for children from all over the state between the ages of 5 and older with significant emotional and behavioral challenges. St. Vincent’s Villa works with the children so that the children may move back to the community as soon as they are ready with all the necessary supports and services to ensure long-term success.
For the holidays, St. Vincent’s Villa hosts a Season of Wonder Holiday Gift Drive and USMALtd is once again joining in collecting gifts. Interested families may take a gift card or gift cards, writing their name on the donor line of the smaller piece of the gift card and placing the smaller portion of the card in the gift barrel. Once the gift(s) is/are purchased, bring the new, unwrapped gift(s) back with the larger part of the card attached to it. PLEASE BRING THE GIFTS BACK BY DECEMBER 10TH. We will collect, sort, and deliver the gifts to St. Vincent’s Villa where the gifts will be wrapped and distributed during the holiday season.
Thank you to all for your continued support for the children of St. Vincent’s Villa!
This is the 22nd year US Martial Arts Academy, Ltd has donated gifts for the children of Villa Maria, now called St. Vincent’s Villa. The students and families of our school have generously helped us with this wonderful holiday tradition.
The children of St. Vincent’s Villa come to the facility in various ways. They may be residents of the Villa, in the public school systems or special education schools, in foster care, or may live in private homes. They are children with emotional challenges who need extra support and special care to grow and reach their potential.
Each year, St. Vincent’s Villa provides gifts to make each child’s holiday special. Students and families of our school provide gifts of new toys and other new items to help brighten the holidays.
There are gift tags at the school with a holiday gift wish for each child. Popular items this year are footballs and basketballs, arts and craft supplies/kits, and board and card games, such as Sorry, Trouble, and Uno cards. Please pick out a gift card to fulfill a child’s holiday wish. Leave the smaller part of the card in the container to indicate that the card was selected.
If the indicated gift or wish costs less than $20, please add to the gift. Items such as socks, craft items, hair items (for girls), trading cards, matchbox cars, games such as Sorry, Connect Four, Battleship, playing cards, or winter gloves are always welcome.
Please bring in the new, unwrapped gifts by Saturday, December 6, 2014.
Thank you very much for your continued support of this program.
